Replaces computer controlled carburetors

Application

Stock # A507E: Rochester Quadrajet M4ME for Oldsmobile 307 w/ electric choke only $425

Special Features:

  • Exact replacement for computer controlled (feedback) 307 carburetors from 1981-1990
  • Improved idle circuit: enlarged idle channel restriction, discharge ports and bypass allows for good idle quality and good off idle performance with mild performance cams
  • Bronze throttle shaft bushings for durability and sealing against vacuum leaks
  • Single wire OEM style electric choke replaces troublesome hot air choke

This is a non-feedback, late style Quadrajet suitable for 307 Oldsmobile engines using either a stock intake or a low rise aftermarket intake with a Quadrajet flange.

To replace your computer controlled E4MC carburetor, you will also need to use an Oldsmobile distributor with vacuum advance in place of the original.

Sold outright, no core charge. Standard shipping in the continental USA (Priority Mail) and Canada (Expedited Parcel) is $29.95.

Carbs are late model Canadian-production non-feedback Quadrajets converted to electric choke. The linkage suits all GM transmissions including 700R4.

Price: $425 + 29.95 shipping in USA and Canada

About this carb

Each one of our remanufactured carburetors undergoes the following assembly process:

  • cores are carefully selected - we don't use banged up "junkyard" cores
  • each carb is rebuilt individually - no mixing of body parts
  • 6 step cleaning process
  • body parts are chromated to restore the original appearance and corrosion protection (more info on this process can be found on our blog: oldcarblog.com)
  • most steel parts are plated in zinc to prevent rust and restore thickness (others are black oxide)
  • steel parts that were originally black oxide finished from the factory are restored to this finish
  • bronze bushings are installed in the throttle body to prevent air leaks around the primary throttle shaft
  • casting plugs are sealed
  • threads are repaired with Heli-Coils as required
  • castings are trued so that there are no leaks of air or fuel
  • assembled with new parts throughout - including all Viton rubber for alcohol and additive resistance

Unlike other rebuilders we don't re-use old parts like choke coils and pull offs. Many of the other guys test these and re-use them, sometimes with a just coat of paint!

Our Quadrajet pull offs, choke thermostats and floats are always new, and the fasteners we use are always OEM quality or better - no wood screws or incorrect fasteners like certain high volume rebuilders!
