Shipping, payment and turn-around time

Shipping

When shipping from the US, please use Priority Mail as it is secure, reliable and has tracking.

Within Canada, Express Post or Expedited Parcel is best.

Overseas, EMS or your local equivalent air mail service with tracking is the way to go.

Please note the following:

Carburetors must be packed securely with at least 3" of padding on all sides and so that they can't move around in the box (we are not responsible for damage in transit to us)
Be sure to drain the carburetor of all gas and let it dry overnight. Invert it so that all the gas drains. Double-bag it so that the gasoline smell doesn't get out.
Include a note inside the box with your name, address, phone number and email address. It's a good idea to email us before sending your carburetor.

What we do when we receive your carburetor:

First, we do an external examination for general condition and obvious problems or damage. We take a series of pictures from all angles. If there is anything seriously wrong that is out of the ordinary or can't be fixed we'll email you right away. Things that can't be fixed...

Next, we disassemble the carburetor, taking pictures of all internal parts and noting the condition of the parts. If there is a serious issue, we'll email you.

After this comes cleaning, repairs, refinishing and reassembly. More information on the restoration process...

When the carburetor is complete, we'll email you to arrange payment and return shipping. We are only able to ship using the postal service.

Payment

We accept payment by PayPal exclusively. You don't need a PayPal account. We send you a PayPal invoice by email which you can pay using credit or debit cards online at the secure PayPal site.

Turn-around time

The time it takes us to restore or remanufacture a carburetor depends on the type of carburetor, the condition and how busy we are (spring is very busy!). Generally, it takes 2-4 weeks, though under certain circumstances it could take longer.

If you email us, we'll give you an estimated completion time.

We will start on your carburetor within 1 business day of receipt.
