Rochester Quadrajets
We offer a rebushing service for Rochester Quadrajets. This involves removing the primary throttle shaft, line reaming the hole oversize and installing bronze bushings.
This will eliminate excess play around the shaft and will last longer than the original.
All Quadrajets eventually wear this way around the primary (front) throttle shaft, leading to air leaks, poor or erratic idle, off-idle hesitation and eventually a sticky throttle.
Note that the secondary shaft doesn't wear except in very rare cases. Bushings are not recommended for the secondary shaft. A fairly loose fit is normal.
Cost is $80 + return shipping
Normally completed within 4-6 business days of receiving the throttle body.
To have this done, please send the throttle body assembly only. Do not remove the shafts. Please follow the shipping instructions here.
